    J. Crew Flu Part Deux

By Chandra Fredrick | Apr 26

Remember my post about my addiction to J.Crew?  Well, they also have an amazing wedding selection.  Today I wanted to feature some gorgeous (and pretty affordable) gowns from J.Crew.  They are all different styles and there is a price for everyone.  Most of them are under $700!

    Dune gown  $895
    Whitney gown  $425
    Gracie gown  $475
    Hope gown  $395
    Sascha gown  $1500
    Mimi gown  $595
I came very close to wearing a gown by J.Crew, which I loved.  But in the end I got my dream dress (Melissa Sweet’s Fern gown) for a steal (future post on how I did that another time) and went that route instead.  But I did wear J.Crew shoes and bought a clutch there as well (both on sale and under $100).  So if you don’t get your gown at J.Crew, don’t forget about your wedding party and your accessories!

    My favorite things…this week

By Chandra Fredrick | Apr 22
I love this table set-up so much.  How incredible is this!?

I think this table runner idea is genius, original, and totally vintage.

I love baby goats.  I don’t know why, but I just do.  So I love this Farm Fresh wedding on Once Wed.

I’ve been looking for a way to display our wedding polaroids, and I think the girls at Love and Lavender just solved that problem!

And last, but not least, my favorite from wedding fashion week from Monique Lhuillier:
    Don’t you just love tulle?

    {Inspired by} Lovely Bridesmaid Dresses

By Chandra Fredrick | Apr 16

I am in love with these Lela Rose bridesmaid dresses.  The chiffon, the rosette details, the varying styles…what’s not to love!?  I think having your bridesmaids each wear a different style all in the same color would be so chic.  I have to admit, my own bridesmaids wore one of these styles, and they looked fabulous, if I do say so myself.

    {What I Love} Emersonmade for your Wedding

By Chandra Fredrick | Apr 15

I absolutely love Emersonmade and all of the little floral pieces they make.  You can adorn your shoes, dress, hair, bag, favors…the possibilities are endless!  I bought one of the small floral hair clips for my bridesmaids and they wore them for the wedding in their hair, and one of them told me they wore their flower last weekend.  Just for fun.  Love that.

    {Inspiration Board} Connect the Dots

By Chandra Fredrick | Mar 5
I’m loving polka dot details incorporated into the design and styling of weddings and events!  They’re so fun and a little bit retro…

Top Row:  Photos 1 & 2 from Martha Stewart Weddings, invitation from Tilde Designs, ties from flickr via Something Old, Something New
Middle Row:  Place setting from Kelly Gao  and shoes by Delicious via Style Me Pretty, dress by Michelle Roth, room photo by Tim Walker for Vogue Italia via Oh Joy!
Bottom Row:  Lanterns from The Knot, envelopes and favor box from Martha Stewart Weddings, Ring Pillow made by Brookyn Bride via Thoughtful Day

You definitely want to stay away from being too literal – do NOT use dots in every element of your wedding.  Just pick a couple of details, like your stationery and ring pillow, or incorporate them in your decor, the groomsmen ties, and your shoes.  They are a fun way to lighten things up and add a bit of whimsy to your day.
