Rustic Vineyard Wedding: Ashley & Eric

Some weddings take place amidst such breathtaking scenery, that they really don’t need much else. Minimal decor is the perfect pairing to a stunning outdoor venue, and today’s wedding is one of those beauties. The Washington state vineyard with Mt. Hood in the background was the perfect backdrop for this celebration. And the rustic details compliment it perfectly.

Advice for couples planning now? Don’t go over the top. Stay simple because that keeps costs down and there is less to organize and fret over on the day of. 

 Such a cute photo idea for before the wedding if you aren’t seeing each other before the ceremony, right?

My father made all of the wooden decor and varnished and put the date on the pieces of wood that the centerpieces were on. We encouraged guests to take these home to use as a trivet or serving platter.

For favors, we made a canned a variety of different treats (pickled beets, beans, salsa, BBQ sauce, applesauce, hot sauce, etc.) for guests to take home.

What made our wedding us? Location and simplicity. It was outside with Mt. Hood centered in the backdrop. We also had a lot of handmade things which is something my husband and I pride ourselves on.
