When I saw the photos of the flower girls in this wedding, I immediately thought of photos from Kate Moss’s wedding where she had lots of adorable little girls in white dresses and floral crowns. Then the rest of the photos showed a dreamy garden wedding, and I fell in love. The flower girls, the bride’s braided-do, the gorgeous orange florals. All so swoon-worthy. And pin-worthy. This one’s sure to inspire! Read More

11 Things Every Wedding Guest Should Know
My planning tips posts are usually written to help the couple, but today’s post is focused on educating your wedding guests. But trust me, this will help YOU in the long run. Maybe even more than some of my other tips posts because, let’s face it, sometimes your guests can be a pain in the ass.
While planning my own wedding I was shocked to find that some people (sometimes a lot of them) can’t be bothered to drop a pre-addressed, pre-stamped RSVP in the mail. They don’t understand why you don’t want their five kids at your wedding. They insist on requesting an “and guest” on their invite, even though you’ve explained you are only inviting people who know and love and those they love. So I thought a little etiquette & education for the guests might be in order. Read More

Pregnancy Wardrobe Essentials from Kiss My Tulle
Today’s Lovely Ever After post is for you ladies who are pregnant, or plan to be soon, from my friend & fellow blogger (and current preggo) Cris of Kiss My Tulle. Kiss My Tulle is a website devoted to helping engaged couples create the wedding of their dreams on a manageable budget, and this post follows that same budget-friendly, practical advice. Cris is sharing her pregnant (and plus-sized) must-haves today. Take it away, Cris!
I’m a little over 5 months pregnant and HUGE. Like, in the last 2 years I managed to lose 60+ pounds and (I’m not exaggerating) I think I have gained them all back – mostly during my first miserable trimester. I was nauseous 24/7 for 12 weeks and the only thing that made me feel better was eating McDonald’s French fries. A LOT of McDonald’s French fries. So none of my clothes fit and I’ve had to buy some new clothes to accommodate my new weight (and my new baby bump). Here are my favorites (they’re VERY budget-friendly):
Sweet Dreams Maternity Wear Maternity Leggings // Maternity Cropped Denim Jacket // Maternity Chevron-Striped Maxi Skirt // Maternity Polka-Dot Side-Shirred Tank // Naughty Monkey Bullet Knee-High Boot // Quiksilver Azalea Shirt // Basic Athletic Rib Racerback 2×1 Tank Top
Thanks, Cris. I had a very similar experience during my first trimester, although I just ate a lot of carbs to battle my nausea. I love Cris’s wardrobe picks. Leggings, tanks, maxi skirts & dresses, and ballet flats were also staples of mine. I also extended my pre-preggo wardrobe with one of these (actually, a couple) which helped with work pants and jeans for a while before I wore maternity pants (and for a few weeks postpartum as well).

{Real Engagement} Chelsea & Lance: Vintage-Inspired E-Session in So Cal (with the sweetest proposal story ever)
When Lauren of Mozi Photography sent this e-session my way, I knew I had to share it. The high school sweethearts, the gorgeous San Diego setting, the fab wardrobes, and the cool vintage car that belongs to the groom’s grandfather…plus, it came with the sweetest proposal story ever.

Lance proposed to his high school sweetheart in just about the most romantic way possible…he wrote, played, and sang a song just for her. From Chelsea:
I had also been bugging him about playing his music for me and he said he finally had a song to play for me. I was so excited to hear it! Once he started playing I quickly realized it was all about me! When he came to the chorus it said “so take this ring” and he stopped playing and pulled the ring out of his guitar case! He got on his knee and told me how much he loved me and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me… and of course asked me to marry him! We both cried and obviously I said yes!
I’m told they’re having a burlap + lace wedding in July, and I cannot wait to see it. Big thanks to the couple and Mozi Photography for letting me share today. See more in the gallery below.
