Bachelorette parties don’t need penis straws and bad veils for the bride-to-be to be fun. Today’s feature is my kind of bachelorette party. These gals put together a nauti-themed bachelorette in celebration of their friend Nina’s upcoming nuptials. All that was needed to take these girls away was a decked out 1960′s Airstream trailer updated in a modern fresh nautical theme, a canoe-cum-bar, an amazing seafood menu, and fun vintage games. To top it off, lovely desserts, cocktails, and a bit of ukelele playing made the evening an absolute blast. Later in the evening, this girls-only party turned coed when their fellas joined in on the fun. Read More

Boho Chic Wilderness Bachelorette Party
I’ve got such a fun feature for you today. This bride was having a destination wedding with just close family, so her girlfriends decided to throw her a “wilderness” bachelorette party. A photoshoot is such a fun bachelorette idea, don’t you think!? Luckily, one of these lovely ladies is married to a fab photographer, Chris Simons, who documented the whole thing!
A little from the bride’s bestie (and wife of the photographer!):
My father-in-law’s country lot was the perfect location for a “wilderness party”, and we dressed it up with a DIY teepee (not an easy project!), a picnic table covered with burlap and succulents, and a big campfire with tree stump seats. My friend Jessica hand-made the gorgeous headpieces and we all wore summer dresses and our favorite pair of boots to add to the theme.
We started the evening with a fun photoshoot (which I highly recommend for every bachelorette party!). The rest of the night was spent feasting, playing games, roasting marshmallows, a little dancing, and a lot of celebrating our bride to be.
So fun, right? This bride is one lucky girl to have such sweet girlfriends! And to me, this beats a drunken night in Vegas any day. Although…that’s fun too ![]()
