There are so many sweet and personal touches in today’s ranch wedding in Los Gatos. The couple infused bits of Southern charm into the details, family into their ceremony, and lots of fun and love into the day. The bride shares some meaningful details about their day that I just love.
My 93-year-old grandfather, Papa Cosmo, played his mandolin when I walked down the aisle, the way he used to play for my Nani Maria Rosa across a field in their small town in southern Italy.
So many people gave us this one piece of advice and I tried so hard to keep it in my heart – that the reason for the day is our marriage. The dress, the flowers, the programs, all of those details are not nearly as important as that. That advice helped me so much and I was able to enjoy planning a fun day for everyone involved. But, we also know that we were really lucky. The venue and all the vendors we worked with were so nice and so helpful and seriously amazing, so there wasn’t much left for us to stress out about.
I loved planning the wedding and was so lucky to have such amazing people to help. A lot of the decisions I left up to the professionals, like the flowers, for example. I know next to nothing about flowers, so that was all Monica and Marky. We tried to focus on the personal details. I used to live in Kentucky and Garrett is from North Carolina. The personal details made it feel like a southern wedding in northern California. Our favors were jars of apricot jam we made in the spring with fruit from my parents’ backyard, and also jars of honey from a beekeeper in Garrett’s hometown. We also built a wooden cornhole set so people could play a bit at the reception. The day of the wedding, most of the guests hitched a ride to the ranch in an old school bus. And we all rode that beast home at the end of the night.
So much great advice here — leave some things to the professionals you trust to reduce your stress, and immerse yourselves into the personal details to make your wedding unique and you. Congrats on a beautiful day and marriage, Nicole & Garrett!

What a lovely venue! The location was perfect! Stunning images!
Love the advice! My sister completely trusted her vendors with a lot of the details. Her wedding was beautiful and all of the vendors raved about how much they loved working with her.
Good post! Thanks for sharing with us such a wonderful post. It is one of the best blog that I had ever seen this before. Marriage is a grand ceremony. Wedding invitation card is playing a very important role in this event. In my marriage time, I bought a lovely invitation from a very reputed shop known as Dream Wedding Card. They provided me a very stylish card at very reliable price. Keep posting like this.
Her dress, bouquet, and hair… oh my! So pretty!
I adore the rustic feel of this wedding. So gorgeous!
