Today’s wedding is a stunner, but I think I like the couple’s story even more! Katy and Doug’s companies were partners, so the two had a working relationship over the phone for years, but had never met in person. Finally, Doug invited Katy to his company holiday party, since it was being held close to the city where Katy lived at the time, and they finally met face-to-face. Four months later Doug proposed, and 15 months later they were married! I love stories like that. So here’s some of that stunner of a wedding I mentioned earlier…

Everyone told me “It goes by so fast,” but I guess I thought my wedding would be the exception.
It was not. So I have the same advice I received: Enjoy every second.

Ours was a destination wedding which meant a lot of guests traveled quite a long distance to celebrate with us. So we wanted to do something for our guests to show our appreciation for their support. We thought a truly personal thank you gift would be a cookbook, which we made from recipes the guests were asked to submit when they received their invitations.

While dating, my husband and I quickly learned that we loved good food and wine, and cooking together. So we tried to incorporate these loves into our wedding celebration.
Don’t these two have the coolest story? And how much do you love this wedding? I’m a bit obsessed with the florals (that bridal bouquet & button mum ring pillow – I DIE!) Plus, the DIY details like the cookbook favors, the cork placecard holders, and the ice cream cone petal cones are such great touches. Any favorite touches for you?
