I know that I promised to share a fab DIY with you from yesterday’s handmade wedding. But then the hubs asked me to watch Game Change with him and take a break from blogging, and I just couldn’t refuse him and didn’t have time to get the DIY post ready (I’ll post it for your tomorrow, promise!). So today I’m posting a wedding that I had all ready for next week instead. And it is a BEAUTY!
The Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai, California is a special place to my husband and me. We’ve spent both of our wedding anniversaries there, one while I was 6 months pregnant and the other as our first time away from our baby. So when my own wedding photographer, Jennifer Roper, sent me this Ojai wedding it was a given that I was in love with it. And I’m obsessed with the bride’s statement necklace!
Most of my featured weddings have brides who are very involved and do a lot of DIY. But I’ve said before that not all brides are meant to DIY. And one of the best things you can do for yourself as a bride is to know when to delegate and when to hire good vendors to help you. That’s what this bride did.
My whole approach to the wedding was simplistic, “natural.” I wanted flowers and food that were in season and grown locally. I was also starting my own business at the same time as the wedding planning so I didn’t have time to do anything myself. I honestly left everything to Ariel of Ariel Yve Designand Tiffany from the Ojai Valley Inn. Ariel did my flowers as well. She was brilliant. I can’t take credit for any of it.
Ojai, billy buttons, that statement necklace, and the gorgeous photos by Jennifer Roper – I cannot choose just one favorite thing! What about you? What are you loving about this wedding?
