I love the DIY feel and laid back vibe of chalkboards in weddings. You can use them for so many different things, and can “dress them up” or keep them low key. Here are some of my favorite uses:

The table number above is also a great DIY project. Find candle holders that have a smooth surface. Paint them with chalkboard paint (available at any craft store). Once the paint dries, you can write the table number in chalk. Put in a candle, and voila, DIY candle holders / table numbers. LOVE this idea!

Love this! A bride needed help using chalkboards in an aging church basement and I sent her this fantastic link!
Hahahaha, loved the “Roses are red, violets are blue, loved the potatos” chalkboard!
I love chalkboards in weddings and I’m thinking of doing a photobooth guestbook with them! Any idea where to get that size? I can only find big ones or little teeny ones like the Happily Ever After chalkboard size.
Aileen, I’ve found lots at stores like Michaels. Also, check flea markets as they often have medium sized ones that are unique. You could also always make your own by picking a size of something that you like and painting it with chalkboard paint. Good luck!
these are all awesome ideas! chalkboard paint has so many uses it’s fun to see some highlighted here. In college we made the back of our apartment door into a chalkboard “quote wall”
